Wall outlets in the Republic of Suriname are Type C (CEE 7/16 Europlug) and/or Type F (CEE 7/4 Schuko) and supply electricity at 110 volts AC / 60 Hz frequency. Chances are you're reading this because you're traveling there from the United States or Canada and are bringing things that will need to be plugged in there. The good news is that the voltage and frequency of the power supplied there is basically identical to the electricity supplied by outlets in the United States and Canada. So North American devices and appliances will operate there just as they do at home. However, the outlet types are European style Type C and Type F outlets, and plug adapters will be needed to allow North American plugs to physically interface with the outlets. The adapter for Type C outlets is our item #EA9C and the adapter for Type F outlets is our item #EA9.

But aside from the issue of being able to plug into the European style outlets, if you're traveling from the United States or Canada, by all means feel free to bring along any gadgets you like. The electrical system there is fully compatible with your devices and appliances as-is. As long as you have the appropriate adapters, you're all set!
